Introduction to Pottery Bundle

Introduction to Pottery Bundle
Save £20 on Two Introductory Pottery Classes
The Introduction to Pottery Bundle brings together our Throwing Tasterand Make a Mug classes. Together, they offer two contrasting starting points:
→ the rhythm and efficiency of throwing on the wheel
→ the slower, more varied pace of shaping clay by hand
Each session lasts 2.5 hours and can be booked separately, allowing you to choose dates that work for you. Sessions may take place on different days.
For many people, this bundle is about finding their bearings. You’ll encounter two different tempos, two different ways of thinking through your hands, and begin to notice which feels most natural. It offers comparison - a road, two directions, and enough support to begin making.
Why begin here?
Throwing and handbuilding ask for different kinds of attention and decision-making.
Throwing on the wheel
→ introduces repetition, balance and control
→ uses consistency and rhythm to shape form
Handbuilding
→ works with constructed slabs and jointing
→ invites variation, expression and improvisation
Learning both gives you a clearer sense of how you prefer to work - whether you’re drawn toward structured, repeatable processes or a more open, responsive approach. Many people use this bundle to decide whether Foundations in Pottery Making is the right next step.
