Group bookings at Sunken Studio offer a short, structured introduction to working with clay.
They’re designed for groups who want to settle into a quieter, hands-on way of working - often after a busy period or at a moment of transition.
Sessions are led by specialists in a purpose-built ceramic studio, using the same tools, materials, and processes that underpin our wider programme.
How group bookings work
Group sessions are guided and structured, with time to learn, make, and ask questions as you go. They support a range of experience levels, allowing the group to begin together without rushing the process.
Working side by side, learning through repetition, and sharing a first encounter with studio ceramics.
Indicative pricing
Group bookings are priced per person, with final pricing based on session length, materials, and staffing.
As a guide, sessions typically sit within the following range:

For groups of fewer than 8 people, booking directly onto our scheduled introductory classes via the website is the simplest option.
Private studio bookings (Fridays only)
Exclusive use of the studio can be arranged on Fridays only, subject to availability.
To make this viable, private bookings work to a minimum booking value of £583 (plus VAT) per half day. This is not a session price, but a threshold to determine whether a private booking is the right route.
We’re able to accommodate larger groups where appropriate, subject to activity, staffing, and scheduling.

Group size
Group bookings are available for groups of 8 people or more.
At weekends, group bookings are capped to ensure the studio continues to function well for everyone using the space. Larger groups are usually best accommodated on Fridays.
If you’re booking for fewer than 8, or are flexible on dates, our public courses and tasters are a better fit.
