These markets are shaped by the people who make this place what it is - many of whom first arrived through a course and stayed to develop a practice on their own terms. Not everyone is working towards a business. For most, this is something quieter and slower: a way of staying close to material alongside everything else that fills their week.
You’ll meet makers refining techniques, testing glazes, or returning to familiar forms. What connects the work isn’t a single aesthetic, but a shared attentiveness to process - and a sense of looking after the space and each other as the work evolves.
The markets reflect that same spirit. You’ll find small-batch and one-off pieces that carry signs of their making - thoughtful, personal, sometimes experimental. For many, it’s about working with care and intent, and the pleasure of seeing something take shape from scratch. Small marks, left with purpose.
