Membership is for people who want clay to become part of their regular rhythm.

Many people arrive through a course, unsure how much space pottery will take in their lives. Over time, some of them find they want a place to keep returning to - where work can develop slowly, questions can be followed, and familiarity builds confidence. Membership exists for that stage.

It offers ongoing access to a fully equipped, specialist-led studio - a place to settle into, where your work evolves alongside other makers and the everyday life of the studio.

Membership tends to suit people who:

→ want the freedom to work at their own pace

→ value clear systems and well-managed resources

→ enjoy working alongside others in a calm, focused environment

→ are ready to take responsibility for their own tools, work in progress and use of time

If you’re looking for occasional access, a course or workshop is often a better beginning. Courses offer the same supportive atmosphere, with materials, glazing and firing all managed as part of the programme.

Membership is a longer-term commitment - to your own development, to shared stewardship of the space, and to sustaining the studio as a place people can continue to arrive and return to.

"I’ve been a member here for over two years and have taken classes prior to that. The community here is fantastic, there is always so much going on with people with a spectrum of skills making pots of all sorts of shapes and sizes. The equipment available is ideal for whatever it is you’re looking to make and the team are really helpful with any questions or support. I am really looking forward to my future time here."

Access to Foundations for Members sessions, essential equipment inductions and studio orientation, with support available as your work develops.

Public opportunities

Opportunities to show work in exhibitions or sell through the studio’s quarterly makers’ markets.

Firing & clay (pay-as-you-go)
