Pottery courses moulded around your routine

At our pottery and coworking ceramics studio, we want you to find that sense of belonging in a wide open space, connecting all walks of life and abilities through clay.

Yet we know finding that time on a weekend or an evening can be challenging, or simply not suited to the way you like to work. With that in mind, we’re opening up our daytime offer, with new courses, private booking slots and membership options, where we bring everyone together on weekday afternoons. It’s your space to strengthen your skills.

Classes with clay

Connect with people who can come together on weekdays, away from the limitations of office hours. In January, we’re starting the next set of our daytime classes. These courses are for everyone. Think pottery making for beginners, as well as throwing taster sessions to give you a feel for what it’s like to sit at a pottery wheel. We’re also offering classes for those with more experience working with clay who want to hone their skills.

You’ll see our list of daytime classes here, including days and timings, with most beginning at 1.30pm. We’re chatting to our current and potential members to discover what you’d like to learn with us. Then, we’ll be building courses and adding more classes in the coming weeks.

Inclusive private bookings

Our weekday group classes let you discover an away day that builds connections and boosts morale. Spend your time together as a team in a way that’s inclusive for everyone. Book private sessions with us where you’ll learn new skills and explore ideas – sparking conversation that can continue back in the office. Then, there’s a chance to reconnect when the fired and glazed pots are ready for collection 4-6 weeks after your session.

As well as workplace away days, you can join us for a private booking with family and friends. Ideal for celebrations or simply spending time together, we welcome adults of all ages and abilities who are keen to try their hand at pottery.

We have different options for daytime private sessions that have always proven popular, from beginners handbuilding to using a pottery wheel. See which session best suits you, or speak to us if you’d like us to cater a bespoke option for your group.

Make connections through membership

Join us on a weekday and you’ll find not only classes taking place, but a studio of like-minded people. As a Sunken Studio member, you’ll have the freedom to join us at times outside our often-busy weekend slots. Monday to Thursday, you’ll find a calm place to explore techniques and processes. You’ll still have full access to the same tools and the support from our team, and you’ll also meet like-minded creatives with space in their schedule.

Our different membership options are designed to suit different budgets, availabilities and ambitions. Yet all membership levels include access to community sessions, where specialist tutors can help you get the most out of your time with us. You can take the opportunity to refine your technical skills and develop your work.

No matter your purpose, if you feel connected to clay – making for fun, wellbeing or even a profit – you’ll find yourself at home here at Sunken Studio.

If you’re curious and keen to find out more about what we offer, use the contact form on the website to send us an email and we’ll be in touch. You can also discover more about our classes, our values and our team.
