Super Seconds Saturday is an online selling opportunity for indies that make, or design, or design and make. The event was set up by Ink & Bear to counterbalance the absence of maker fairs in 2020/21.

We’re taking part. We’ll be selling our pots at www.sunkenstudio.co.uk.

Visit our shop on Saturday 27 February, 2021. Our big tidy starts at 10:00.

We are selling our stock of missteps and misfits.

In 2020 we started developing our Standard Ware range. Standard Ware was born out of constraints and panic: we used the materials we had in stock but introduced far too many forms. Making the range wasn’t a mistake - making pots has led to new opportunities (more on this soon), new ideas, and has helped us focus our attention. Sunken Studio is now in the process of editing our range and refining our pots. Studio talk focuses on form, function, feel, and a little theatre! We know exactly what we’re going to make, why we’re making it, and how to make it when teaching and operating a busy coworking ceramics studio resumes.

We have a new plan! Sadly, a few of our journeying pots are not part of that plan. Super Seconds Saturday is an opportunity to make space and time for new pots.

Some of the pots we’ll be selling are rogues, others have imperfections. Imperfections might include pinholes, thin glaze application, a rough finish. Lovable rouges might include pots with handles that are a touch too small, samples, and pots that are just too random.

Learn more about the event at Ink & Bear. There are over 250 makers taking part.
