When we started clearing the studio in preparation for reopening we were faced with a lot of slight seconds and samples. One activity triggered another and we decided to host our first seconds and samples market. We were taken back by the response and turnout. What we didn’t sell on the day was snapped up on Instagram. Importantly, we got to meet lots of people for the first time in months! (If you’re reading this in the future… we’d just left lockdown following a pandemic).

Thank you for embracing our imperfections. We’re delighted to have created something to love and we always feel a lot of love at our events. It’s been an exceedingly difficult few months and we hope our pots will make you smile. The sale was a real boost, particularly being able to create something for you to get excited about. My ambition through Sunken Studio, was always to be part of the city I live in, create some jobs and opportunities in ceramics, and make a welcoming place for people to come together. I will never let go of those ambitions, it matters to belong.
