Members make: Victoria and Finch

Victoria has been a studio member since July 2019. She makes delicately thrown functional pots and decorative ceramic ornaments often with drawn details. In 2019 Victoria setup Victoria & Finch and sells her pots and embroidered hoops and frames through her Etsy shop. Victoria & Finch exists to add a touch of ‘hygge’ to your home (or even your shop, cafe or workplace).

Victoria has also completed a few of our studio-based courses and most recently a four week throwing course specialising in bowls. The forms were made during the course and she decorated them independently.

Many of our members sign-up to workshops and courses alongside using the studio to make their own work. In 2020 we restructured our courses to facilitate a more tailored approach to leaning new techniques and developing skills. It’s been very encouraging to see members negotiate different creative interests alongside developing new skills and understanding.

We have several membership options. Full studio members gain up to 15 hours bookable studio access per week and are allocated 40 litres of kiln capacity per month (bisque and glaze). Studio membership includes access to glaze and pottery surgeries, priority invitations to events and a 10% discount on Sunken Studio courses and products.
